Weight management can refer to three different actions: losing weight, maintaining your weight or gaining weight.

 

To maintain a healthy weight, you need to take in only as many calories as you burn or use each day. To lose weight, you need to cut back on the calories you take in and burn more calories with exercise. To gain weight, you need to take in more calories than you burn each day.

 

Our programmes can be personalised to achieve your specific goal, should this be losing, maintaining or gaining weight. Formula 1 Meal Replacement and Formula 2 Multivitamin Complex are Herbalife's core products and the foundation of each nutritional programme. The way in which the products are used vary upon what you wish to achieve yet it is very simple!

... LOSE WEIGHT?

Enjoy the F1 shake as a meal replacement TWICE a day.

 

Combine in a blender: 8 to 16 oz. of no-fat milk or juice (orange, apple, sugar free cranberry, etc.) and 2 level tablespoons of Formula 1. We recommend adding ½ cup each of 1-3 kinds of fruit (such as bananas, strawberries, pineapple, or blueberries) to add to the taste. You can also add fat free yogurt. Use frozen fruits for the best flavor and consistency. Blend on high speed for at least 1 minute.

 

You can replace any two meals of your main three meals a day and we recommend that one of those is breakfast. If you don’t normally eat breakfast, having the shake in the morning will give you energy, boost your metabolism, burn fat and keep you from being ravenous at lunch. Do NOT skip breakfast!

 

The shake is filling and very nutritious, but make sure you have ONE regular, sensible, low-fat meal once a day of food you enjoy (either lunch or dinner).

 

...MAINTAIN YOUR WEIGHT?

Enjoy the F1 shake as a meal replacement ONCE a day.

 

Again, we would recommend you replace breakfast. It is important to make sure you have two regular, sensible, low-fat meals of food you enjoy.

To gain weight, you must not use the shakes as meal replacements. Instead, you need to have THREE shakes a day, one after every meal as a dessert.

The Body Mass Index is a way to determine whether your weight is healthy or not.

It is considered a more useful measurement than weight and the BMI analysis is based on the standards stablished by the OMS which considers:

 

a BMI below 20: underweight. The individual's metabolism is at risk if the diet doen't satisfy the nutritional needs.

a BMI between 20 and 25: healthy.

a BMI between 25 and 30: overweight.

a BMI over 30: obese. The individual is at risk of suffering health problems.
